The Alliance for Implant Dentistry (AID) proudly announces the launch of the AID Practical Impact Award which will initially be awarded in this form exclusively to researchers in Switzerland. This research prize honors outstanding scientific publications that offer practical and innovative solutions in the field of oral implantology. With a Preissumme von CHF 5'000 aims to AID Practical Impact Award aims to motivate researchers in Switzerland to develop work that is not only theoretically valuable but also clinically applicable and contributes directly to the optimization of patient care.

Objective of the "AID Practical Impact Award"
The "AID Practical Impact Award" was created to specifically promote scientific excellence and innovation in the field of oral implantology in Switzerland. The award is aimed at researchers whose work offers concrete application possibilities and bridges the gap between theory and practice. By integrating the study results into clinical practice, the award helps to sustainably improve the quality of treatment and the well-being of patients.

Submission and selection process
The AID is accepting applications until April 30, 2025. A panel of independent experts from the AID Research Commission will evaluate the publications based on a clearly defined grid that includes factors such as originality, methodological rigor and clinical applicability. The aim is to identify and recognize work with exceptional practical utility and innovative potential.

The winner of the "AID Practical Impact Award" will be honored at the AID annual conference in autumn.
